Junior Leadership Hudson students Zach Ramsey, a senior at Hudson High School; Khushi Chawda a junior at Western Reserve Academy; and Delia Rabatin, a junior at Western Reserve Academy spoke to the Hudson Clocktower Rotary Club about their experiences with Junior Leadership Hudson. The students were joined by advisors Ms. Mataupsky from Western Reserve and Mr. Corey Hoynacke from Hudson High School at the meeting on Wednesday, January 29.
Junior Leadership Hudson was created by the 2009 Leadership Hudson Class.
The students used a PowerPoint presentation and took turns talking about their visits to the Stow Court House, KeyBank, the Cleveland Convention Center, Bridgstone Tire Company, and Hudson Job Search where they did mock interviews. They also visited Kent State’s Launch Net where they created a new product – a fabric that smells good even when you sweat! Also on the list were Hudson Community Service, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Trail Group where they learned about trail creation and maintenance, and Kendall Cliffs.
Each of the students shared their goals and interests with their Rotary audience. They also talked about their home towns and how they ended up in Hudson. All were very interesting and engaging.
This was a very informative, professional talk. Well Done. When I told Khushi, who is from India, that my favorite rice was basmati, she said her favorite was tulsi manjri from her home part of India. (Shown left to right: Delia, Khushi, and Zach)
