City Council sets annual goals, priorities, and objectives for the City Manager. Sheridan is responsible to the Council as a whole. Sheridan leads the day-to-day operations of the City to ensure Council goals and objectives are met. He directs all City staff. However, the appointments of some staff positions, including Police, Chief, Fire Chief, and City Solicitor, require Council approval.
