Zoom Meeting
United States of America
Kathryn Thomas is the host of @HomeRadio, a podcast about feeling at home where we are, whether it's with ourselves or out in the world. The underlying idea of the podcast is that being comfortable or "at home" with ourselves makes us more likely to be open to other points of view. Kathryn also founded Gale Hill Media LLC, which serves as her umbrella company for @HomeRadio and other projects including freelance writing and editing.

A Cleveland native and journalism graduate of The Ohio State University, Kathryn began her career as a features writer for The Columbus Dispatch. She went on to work as features editor for The Spokesman-Review in Spokane, Wash., and lifestyle editor for The Detroit News before moving back to Northeast Ohio, where she served as managing editor for Scene magazine and editor of Northern Ohio Live magazine.

Most recently, she spent 14 years in various writing and editing positions at Cleveland Clinic. She retired from there on a most auspicious day — Friday the 13th in March, which was the first day of the pandemic lockdown.

Kathryn continues to write and edit for Cleveland Clinic on a freelance basis, which gives her much more time for passion projects. She’s a member of the board of Leadership Hudson, serves as a resource for clients of Hudson Job Search and recently joined the League of Women Voters of Hudson.
